Sustainability South West seeks an:                                         

Administration Assistant (Part time, fixed term contract until 31st March 2009)

Based in Bristol - Salary band:  £14,492 - £16,217 p.a. (pro rata, 20 hours per week) plus optional contributory pension

Role:
Sustainability South West, the region’s independent Champion Body for Sustainable Development, is recruiting for an Administration Assistant to assist with the delivery of day to day legal, administration & finance activities and internal and external communications.

Job Description

Main Duties:

• Assisting with the delivery of day to day legal, administration & finance activities, including bookkeeping, preparing cheques, database upkeep, note-taking, purchasing, dealing with suppliers, general project and event support and other admin tasks as required.
• Co-ordinating internal and external communications including email and telephone enquiries, incoming and outgoing post management including mail-outs, assisting with preparation of reports and presentations, IT support.
• Managing meeting arrangements including Board meetings, the office diary and office rota system.


Person specification

 Good communications skills – verbal and written
• Confident IT user with good presentation skills
• Excellent numeracy and bookkeeping skills 
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively
• Ability to work both independently and as a team player as required
• Confidence to deal with telephone and other enquiries
• Keen to learn about sustainable development
