14/03/2009 00:38

The campaign for fair and safe carbon shares for everyone, Fair Shares, Fair Choice, has a brand new website - visit www.fairsharesfairchoice.com to add your name to the supporters list; watch a new short film about fair shares and how you can join the campaign and to claim your exclusive, free Carbon Card with your fair share of carbon for 2009 Fair Shares, Fair Choice Carbon Card

Fair Shares, Fair Choice (FSFC) is an online campaign for people and organisations who want to make the future a better place for everyone. You can ‘Sign Up’ to the principle of ‘a globally fair and safe carbon share for everyone’ and access a range of resources to help you make smart choices to reduce your carbon emissions and live within your ‘fair share’.

The new FSFC website www.fairsharesfairchoice.com contains a specially commissioned film about the fair shares concept and how you can get involved. The film was screened exclusively before "The Age of Stupid" at The Watershed, Bristol, on 24th March, introduced by Fair Shares, Fair Choice supporter, author and climate change campaigner Mark Lynas. Mark says, “Joining the Fair Shares, Fair Choice movement is a fantastic way to support real progress on cutting CO2 emissions. A personal carbon budget gives us a realistic idea about what we each need to do to help avert the extremes of climate change.”

Fair Shares, Fair Choice is co-ordinated by Sustainability South West. SSW’s Director, Leslie Watson, says, “Now is the time to make a difference. MPs, residents, climate change experts, celebrities, public sector agencies, voluntary sector and business organisations are all supporting Fair Shares, Fair Choice and making climate positive choices for a more resilient future. Join in today and Sign Up to globally fair and safe carbon shares for everyone.”
