02/10/2008 21:47
Sustainability South West members met on Friday 3rd October in Weston-super-Mare
to discuss tidal energy in the Severn Estuary and to complete a sustainability appraisal of the proposed Severn Barrage using the 10 principles of the Sustainability Shaper (the Regional Sustainable Development Framework - RSDF) which are housed at www.shapersw.net. SSW were then invited to join a debate on how sustainable a barrage in the Severn Estuary would be on BBC Radio 4's ‘The World Tonight’, which went out live from Weston-super-Mare that evening at 10pm. You can listen to the debate at www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/news/worldtonight/
