Get Involved! Help us create a sustainable South West
There are lots of ways in which all of us - whether as individuals or organisations - can support a more sustainable region. The region's sustainable development framework, the Sustainability Shaper, is packed with ideas! (see www.shapersw.net)
You can directly support Sustainability South West's work in the region by:
- Signing up (as an individual, organisation or group) to the principle of 'fair and safe carbon shares for all' via SSW's Fair Shares, Fair Choice initiative. On the Fair Shares, Fair Choice website you can also calculate your carbon footprint, explore your carbon budget, meet your virtual carbon coach and share your story. Together we can reduce the region’s CO2 to sustainable levels - click here to go to the website and add your name to the movement today!
- Using the Sustainability Shaper (the region's sustainable development framework which SSW coordinates) to help ensure your decision making is based on sound sustainability criteria and supports progress towards a sustainable region. Click here to go straight to the Shaper website.

- If you're a tourism organisation or business (or someone who enjoys holidaying in the region) you can get involved in the Future Footprints sustainable tourism visitor campaign. Click here to go straight to the Future Footprints website and register your interest today!

- Future Foundations is the region's sustainable construction initiative. You can browse the Future Foundations website to find out more about building a better South West and, if you're involved in construction policy or practice, join hundreds of others by signing up to the Future Foundations charter!
...and don't forget you can contact us to receive free copies of our Sightings news magazine and annual reviews (or read them online here) and stay up to date with the latest sustainability issues for the region
Our other support section contains links to other organisations promoting sustainability that you may be able to get involved with locally.
